I completed BE Telecom Engineering from National University of Science & Technology, Pakistan in the year 2009. In my final year, I worked on an indigenous design and hardware implementation of a simple Optical Time Domain Reflectometer, capable of detecting the location of fault in an Optical Fibre. For the next five years, I gained experience as a professional in the booming Telecom Industry of Pakistan. I went on to pursue a masters in Photonic Networks on Erasmus Mundus scholarship from Scoula Superiore Santanna, Italy and Aston University, UK. I did my thesis on Graphene-integrated Photonic Modulators at Technische Universitat Berlin, Germany. Currently, I am a PhD candidate at Photonics Research Lab of Polytechnic University of Valencia, Spain. My research work focuses on innovative technologies based upon heterogeneous multi-core fibres.
