Cristina Avellán Carrión
Cristina Avellan pursued the Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Technologies and Services Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de Valencia, Spain (2015-2019). During her studies, she was part of a group aimed at fostering the potential of outstanding students in which English was the main medium of instruction. She also enrolled a European H2020 intensive program targeting "The ICT Engineer of 21st Century: Mastering Technical Competencies, Management Skills and Societal Responsibilities" in Zagreb, Croatia (2017). She obtained Bachelor's Final Project with Honours focused on the empirical characterization of a MU-MIMO channel in mmWave bands (25-40 GHz) in collaboration with the Electromagnetic Radiation Group (GRE) of UPV. Cristina is currently pursuing the Master of Engineering in Telecommunications at UPV (2019-2021), while she works as a R&D engineer in the Mobile Communications Group (MCG) of the Institute of Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications (ITEAM). She is immersed in the investigation of 5G networks for professional media content production through a high-impact European H2020 project (5G-RECORDS), among others.
