M.Sc. in Telecommunication Engineering at the UPV with First class Honors (1997), the Regional Government Award and 2nd National Award. Lecturer at the UPV School of Telecommunication since 1998. Music Diploma by Conservatory Joaquin Rodrigo of Valencia (2000). PhD in Mathematics Cum Laude at UPV (2003). Advanced Studies in Music Composition by the Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, USA) studying Computer Music with Roger Dannenberg and composition. He received prior training in electronic and electroacoustic music and computer music with A. Núñez, G. Jiménez and L. Amigo, in composition with D. Baixauli, M. Sotelo, J.M. Sánchez Verdú and A. Posadas, and music for audiovisuals and jazz.
In 2013 he received a scholarship from the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science for research in music technology at the computer music group led by Roger Dannenberg at Carnegie Mellon University. His main research interests are music technology, video processing and matrix functions and their applications. He has directed 13 research projects and is the author of more than 50 publications in international journals and conferences (http://scholar.google.es/citations?hl=es&user=Gls8MJwAAAAJ). He is the founder and coordinator of the UPV International Post-Graduate Courses in Composition, he is part of the academic committee of the Master of Music from the UPV, where he is responsible for the subject Electronic Technology and Contemporary Music, and he is the founding director of the UPV Graduate Program in Electronic and Electroacoustic Music, Interactivity and Video Creation.
