A fusion splicing station is available. Fibre fusion splicers along with fibre cleavers and thermal and mechanical jacket strippers allow to splice standard optical fibres. Polarization maintaining optical fibres can be spliced too, using special fusion splicer with additional theta alignment by rotating the fibre with theta electrical motors.
