The Public Sector Contracting Platform formalized the tender last Wednesday, February 28, corresponding to Phase 4 of the Advanced 5G Immersive Laboratory for Telepresence, Holography, and Tactile Communications under the framework of the Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia funded by the European Union’s NextGenerationEU.
The Contracting Entity is the Rectorate of the Universitat Politècnica de València, and the base budget for the tender contract amounts to 50,000 euros.
This new contract allows the Mobile Communications Group of iTEAM to continue working on the development of a pioneering Immersive Communications Laboratory in Spain. In this laboratory, the latest technologies in immersive, telepresence, and haptic communications converge in the same space and connect to each other, as well as to the iTEAM’s own 5G network, to explore the possibilities of future remote communications.
