The iTEAM Innovation Unit took part in the Workshop on Advanced Manufacturing Technologies for a More Sustainable & Resilient Aviation, organized by AIMEN and Tekniker.
The workshop addressed key challenges in sustainability, digitalization, and advanced manufacturing within the aeronautical industry. It brought together leading players in the European aerospace sector such as Airbus, GKN Aerospace, and Collins Aerospace, along with technology centers and innovation organizations.
During the event, the fibre optic sensors being developed at PRL- CalSens to improve monitoring and structural integrity in aerospace applications were presented.
This event provided the Innovation Unit with the opportunity to explore future collaboration prospects in the field of technological innovation.
