The researchers Mario González Pérez and Miguel Ángel Fuentes Pascual, from iTEAM, have been selected to participate in the InspiraTech program, promoted by Fundación Innovación Bankinter. This initiative aims to support PhD students and recent graduates in the challenge of bringing scientific research closer to the market, facilitating knowledge transfer and generating economic and social impact.
InspiraTech is conceived as an innovative program that connects research talent with the business and entrepreneurial ecosystem, offering training, advice, and specialized support to transform research results into viable technological solutions with commercialization potential. It represents an ambitious commitment, focused on a key profile: young researchers at the early stage of their careers, with projects that have the capacity for transformation and real-world application.
Mario González Pérez, member of the Photonics Research Lab (PRL), develops his research under the title Exploiting special Multicore Fibers for signal processing in beyond 5G Fiber-Wireless communications. His work focuses on the field of photonics, exploring new generations of optical fibers capable of transmitting enormous volumes of information quickly, efficiently, and reliably.
Meanwhile, Miguel Ángel Fuentes Pascual is pursuing his PhD at the Antennas and Propagation Lab (APL), where he investigates novel reconfigurable and high-performance antennas for space applications (SATCOM). His project, with an innovative approach in the field of satellite communications, seeks to advance the development of key technologies for the aerospace sector.
Congratulations to Mario González Pérez and Miguel Ángel Fuentes Pascual for this great opportunity!
