Antonio González López, member of the APL group at iTEAM, has been awarded the First Prize in the Telecommunications Systems category at the “V Premis Enginy de les Telecomunicacions”, organized by COITTCV/AVITT.
His Bachelor’s Thesis, supervised by Miguel Ferrando-Rocher and José Ignacio Herranz, develops a next-generation 60 GHz monopulse antenna designed for high-precision angular localization, advanced radar, and future 6G millimetre-wave communications. The project proposes a compact, fully metallic architecture capable of generating six independent radiation modes, enabling accurate direction-finding and multimodal links in demanding aerospace, defense and autonomous-navigation scenarios.
