David Gómez Barquero, from the MCG group at iTEAM, took part in the roundtable “XR and Education 4.0: Digital Skills for the Future” at VRDay 2025, organized by the Valencian Association of Extended Reality (AVRE).
During his presentation, he introduced the Immersive Communications Laboratory at iTEAM, a key space dedicated to the development and validation of XR technologies (AR and VR) applied to teaching and immersive communication.
He also shared the work carried out within the Immersive Classroom Didactic Innovation Project funded by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES), which brings together faculty from different fields, technicians, and students with a common goal: integrating XR into university teaching to enhance learning and develop new digital competencies.
