The Institute of Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications (iTEAM) at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) is strengthening its presence in the leadership of three of its schools with the recent appointment of three of its researchers.
Vicenç Almenar, New Director of the Gandia Campus
Vicenç Almenar, a researcher in the Digital Systems Integration Group (GISED) at iTEAM, has been appointed Director of the Gandia Campus. A professor at this campus since its inception in 1993, Almenar has held various leadership roles, including Deputy Director of the Department of Communications, Head of Studies for the campus, Deputy Director of Research, and Coordinator of the Doctorate in Telecommunications. His experience and deep understanding of the academic environment will be key to driving new initiatives on campus.
Pau Bernabéu Reappointed as Director of EPSA
Pau Bernabéu, a member of the Signal Processing Group (GTS) at iTEAM, will continue for another six years as Director of the Escuela Politècnica Superior d’Alcoi (EPSA). Bernabéu has played key roles within the institution, such as Academic Director of the Telematics Engineering degree for two years, as well as Deputy Director and Director of the Alcoi Campus since 2021. His reappointment as head of EPSA reflects recognition of his work and leadership within the institution.
Héctor Esteban, New Director of ETSIT
Héctor Esteban, a member of the Microwave Applications Group (GAM) at iTEAM, has been re-elected Director of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería de Telecomunicación (ETSIT). His election strengthens iTEAM’s relevance within the academic structure of UPV and promises a period of consolidation and progress in research and education in the field of telecommunications.
