The Mobile Communications Group (MCG) of iTEAM participates in the 11th meeting of the European COST Action CA20120 INTERACT

The Mobile Communications Group (MCG) of iTEAM Research Institute took part in the 11th meeting of the European COST Action CA20120 INTERACT, focused on the assessment of electromagnetic exposure in advanced telecommunications networks and its implications for health and society.

Conchi Garcia Pardo, Ramón y Cajal researcher at iTEAM and chair of the working group on electromagnetic exposure within the INTERACT action, presented the latest developments of the EMERGE-5G Project project. Her presentation focused on electromagnetic exposure in 5G networks during mass events, highlighting that these networks operate effectively even under high user density conditions, without exceeding established exposure limits.

Sergio Castelló Palacios, postdoctoral researcher at iTEAM, took part in the working group on communications and health, contributing to the analysis of potential effects of emerging technologies from a multidisciplinary perspective.

In addition, predoctoral researcher César Montaner Cardoso presented his work on calibration methods for RF Digital Twins (RF-DT). His research introduces a novel metric to evaluate the quality of simulations, allowing for better alignment with real-world measurements. The study covers multiple frequency bands and evaluation metrics, representing a significant step forward in the development of reliable RF-DTs, which are essential for the design and optimization of future 6G networks.
