The CPI Tour Experience, organized by the Ciudad Politécnica de la Innovación together with PIAE+, received an outstanding response, with more than 150 Master’s and PhD students registered.
iTEAM participated with two activities:
- Through the PRL (Photonics Research Labs), David Barrera presented “Optical Fiber Sensors for Critical Infrastructure Monitoring.” At the PRL laboratory, attendees learned about ongoing developments in photonic sensing and their applications in structural monitoring, safety, and predictive maintenance, in collaboration with CALSENS.
- Jorge Sastre (GTS), along with his students G. Montero and J. Andrés, presented an interactive videomapping activity, demonstrating the applicability of immersive audiovisual technologies in innovative educational and creative contexts.
An excellent opportunity to bring our applied research closer to students and to foster interest in photonic technology and knowledge transfer.
