Víctor Rubio Jiménez, a student at the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) linked to iTEAM through his bachelor’s thesis and extracurricular internships, has been awarded one of the Santander Excelencia 360º Scholarships 2025.
The program recognized 76 students from across Spain for their academic achievements, university involvement, and social commitment. Víctor was the only UPV student selected in this year’s edition.
He is currently developing his bachelor’s thesis within the Antennas and Propagation Lab (APL) research group at iTEAM, where he works on the design of satellite-mounted antennas for VHF aeronautical communications. The project is supervised by researchers Miguel Ferrando Bataller and Marta Cabedo Fabres.
In addition to his academic work, Víctor is carrying out extracurricular internships at the institute, an experience that allows him to complement his education with direct involvement in applied research and technological development activities.
The award ceremony took place at Madrid’s Museo del Traje during the Recognition Event for the Santander Excelencia 360º Scholarship Recipients 2025, held XXVI Junta General de Accionistas de Universia España. Representing UPV, Víctor attended the event accompanied by Elena de la Poza Plaza, Vice-Rector for Employment, Lifelong Learning and Language Policy.
