Project

Catalytic Decomposition of Methane with Minimum Energy Input and Maximum Waste Valorization (DESTACAME)

Date

2023 - 2026

Acknowledgements

The main objective of the project is the industrial research of a catalytic methane decomposition process with minimum energy consumption and maximum utilization of waste for the generation of renewable hydrogen, where ITEAM will carry out the design and commissioning of microwave prototypes to efficiently and cleanly provide the necessary energy for the heating and endothermic methane decomposition operations.

This project has been funded by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, "Incentive Program 4: basic-fundamental research challenges, innovative pilots, and training in key enabling technologies," within the incentive programs for the innovative value chain and knowledge of renewable hydrogen under the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. R&D&I Project Ref. PR-H2CVAI4-C1-2022-0061 funded by the Institute for the Diversification and Saving of Energy and by the "European Union NextGenerationEU/PRTR."
