Marco Nieto and Miguel Ángel Ramos Fernández have been awarded the Academic Excellence Promotion Awards, granted by the Conselleria de Educación, Cultura, Universidades y Empleo of the Generalitat Valenciana to students with the highest academic records among graduates from the public universities of the Valencian University System in the 2023–2024 and 2024–2025 academic years.
Marco Nieto graduated in Physical Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) in the 2024/25 academic year. During his studies, he was awarded a university departmental collaboration scholarship at iTEAM’s Antennas and Propagation Lab (APL), where he also completed his Bachelor’s Thesis.
Miguel Ángel Ramos Fernández belongs to the second graduating class of the Bachelor’s Degree in Digital and Multimedia Technology (GTDM) at ETSIT-UPV and is currently a researcher at iTEAM’s Immersive Communications Laboratory (MCG). Miguel Ángel was also honored with the “Capitanía General de Valencia” Award for Academic Excellence.
The award ceremony took place at the Palau de la Música in Valencia and was attended by representatives of the Generalitat Valenciana and the Ministerio de Educación. The award recipients received a commemorative gift designed by Valencian artists as a symbol of recognition for their effort, dedication, and academic excellence.
