Roger Dannenberg visits Valencia to present advances from an iTEAM project on generative AI for music

Roger Dannenberg, creator of Audacity, is visiting Valencia as part of the research project CIAICO/2023/275, Co-directed by Jorge Sastre, a researcher in the Signal Processing Group (GTS) at iTEAM, and Nuria Lloret from IDF. During his stay, Dannenberg will take part in several academic and research activities focused on the application of generative artificial intelligence to music.

On July 1 at 6:00 p.m., he will deliver the public lecture “Music in the Age of AI and Machine Learning” at American Space Valencia (UPV). During the session, the results of the CIAICO/2023/275 project, funded by the Valencian Regional Government (Generalitat Valenciana), will be presented. The project explores new computational techniques to improve the performance of generative AI systems capable of creating music in real time. The lecture will include live demonstrations of AI-generated improvised melodies using Dannenberg’s generative music model.

Attendance at “Music in the Age of AI and Machine Learning” is free, with prior registration required:
