The Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV) successfully hosted the IEEE MTT-S International Conference on Numerical Electromagnetic and Multiphysics Modeling and Optimization (NEMO 2026), one of the leading international conferences dedicated to electromagnetic modeling, multiphysics simulation, and optimization for radio-frequency, microwave, and terahertz applications.
Over the course of three days, the conference brought together researchers, industry professionals, and students at the Ciudad Politécnica de la Innovación (CPI), representing universities, research centers, and companies from Europe, North America, Asia, and other regions of the world, highlighting the strongly international nature of NEMO.
Organized by the Microwave Applications Group (GAM) of the iTEAM, the conference featured a high-level scientific program including plenary lectures, technical sessions, and presentations covering the latest advances in electromagnetic modeling and analysis, design and optimization algorithms, multiphysics simulation, and tools for the development of advanced communication systems.
The event was chaired by Professor Vicente E. Boria-Esbert, a member of the GAM group, who also officially opened the conference. The opening ceremony was attended by Eva Antonino, Director of iTEAM, and José F. Monserrat, researcher in the MCG group and UPV Vice-Rector for Internationalization and Communication, underscoring the commitment of both iTEAM and the Universitat Politècnica de València to internationalization and scientific excellence.
