Tomorrow, 6 October, iTEAM PhD researcher José Torres Vicente, guitarist, composer and producer, will bring his artistic research project Flamenco de Cuartito to the Universitat Politècnica de València, with a day dedicated to exploring the possibilities of technology applied to music creation.
During the workshop, participants will work with BandLab to experiment with remixing, manipulating and reworking sound materials from the project’s archive. Using their own mobile devices, they will create new pieces that will later be shared in a collective listening session.
The day will conclude with Los futuros perdidos del flamenco, a performance lecture in which José Torres will present his research through a combination of live music, recordings, images and video, reflecting on the relationship between flamenco, technology and memory.
