Yesterday, iTEAM hosted the talk “Quasi-Optical Beamforming Techniques for Multiple-Beam Antenna Systems in Satellite and Terrestrial Communication Networks”, organized by the Antennas and Propagation Lab (APL) and delivered by Dr. Nelson J. G. Fonseca, Chief Innovation Officer at Anywaves.
During the session, Dr. Fonseca explored the latest developments in quasi-optical beamforming for multiple-beam antenna systems, a key enabling technology for next-generation satellite and terrestrial communication networks.
He also presented innovative solutions based on Luneburg lenses, geodesic lenses, and a novel virtual-image graded-index lens, highlighting their potential applications in communications, radar systems, and microwave instrumentation.
