The iTEAM promotes the science-business connection through the creation of the UCIE: Technological innovation to boost competitiveness in the Valencian Community
The Institute of Telecommunications and Multimedia Applications (iTEAM) has established the Scientific Unit for the Development of Technologies and Knowledge Transfer to Business (UCIE), affiliated with the Polytechnic University of Valencia, through the inclusion of its first 3 members.
The creation of Scientific Units for Business Innovation is an initiative by the Valencian Agency of Innovation through the Program for Valorization and Transfer of Research Results to Companies, in its Line 2, Empowerment of Scientific Units for the Development of Technologies and Knowledge Transfer to the company. These initiatives align with the objectives of the iTeam’s Innovation Agent (Innoagents), supported by the Talent Promotion Program. This approach aims to foster connections between the scientific, technological, and business spheres, promoting collaboration among entities in the development of innovative projects.
The consolidation of UCIE, expected over the next two years, represents a significant opportunity to transfer research in communication technologies to the business and productive sector of the Valencian Community. Due to their cross-cutting nature, these technologies enable the modernization and competitiveness of the region.
