The Photonics Research Labs (PRL) group at iTEAM recently visited Huawei’s headquarters in Shanghai as part of the collaboration between the two organisations. During the visit, the PRL team had the opportunity to learn about Huawei’s facilities, as well as the company’s current lines of work and ongoing projects. The PRL researchers, in turn, presented projects previously developed by the group related to communications, as well as the projects they are currently working on.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to follow up on the project currently being jointly developed by iTEAM and Huawei, “Research on Nonlinear Predistortion Technology based on Optical Computing”, which focuses on the research of nonlinear predistortion technologies based on optical computing.
